Bakels have chosen to support the Motor Neurone Disease Association for 2026 and 2027, hoping to raise a total of £25,000. As an organisation we hope to raise £10,000 in 2026 and £15,000 in 2027.
As an organisation, we have chosen this charity to support all those living with and affected by MND. One of our colleagues Brian has a family friend who died 15 years ago due to MND.
"My wife’s best friend Julie was lost to MND about 15 years ago at the age of just 49! She left a husband and two mid teenage kids. The last couple of years of her life were horrendous, involving care at home and a Hospice.
15 years ago there was probably a lot less known about the disease then and a lot less support for the family."
Another colleague John has a friend who has been diagnosed with MND
“I have a friend who has been diagnosed with MND and has 2-5 years of life left. Little is known about the disease and the more money we can raise to support the people with MND and fund research the better. “
Bakels as an organisation will be taking on a number of different events across the partnership to raise funds and awareness to support the work of the MND Association,
