We are Team Blood, Sweat and Beers, a group of four friends—Leanne, Natalie (Polly), Jodie and Kyle—taking on the epic Race the Sun Swanage challenge to raise vital funds for Action Medical Research. On 27th September 2025, we’ll be pushing our limits with a 36-mile bike ride, an 8-mile hike, and a 2-mile kayak, all in one day, racing against the sunset in the stunning Jurassic Coast of Swanage.

Why We’re Doing This

Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity funding groundbreaking research to help sick and disabled babies and children. They fight for answers that lead to cures, treatments, and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest challenges our children face, from rare diseases to life-threatening conditions. Every penny we raise will support their mission to give these children a brighter future.

Our Challenge

Race the Sun is no small feat! We’ll start at dawn, cycling 36 miles through rolling hills, hiking 8 miles across rugged coastal paths, and kayaking 2 miles along the sea—all before the sun sets. We’re training hard, supporting each other, and determined to cross the finish line as a team. But we need your support to make a real difference.
