Story
"Breast foot forward" are taking part in PinkRibbonWalk2026-ChatsworthHouse.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and accounts for 15% of all newly diagnosed cancers in the UK. It is more common in women than men with around 56,500 women and around 390 men diagnosed in the UK each year. Breast Cancer Now is one of the UK’s leading breast cancer charities. They fund research and life-changing support now, so no one faces breast cancer alone.
1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime which means, like me, everyone will know a family member or friend who has undergone treatment for this terrible disease. I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be undertaking the 20 mile Pink Ribbon Walk as I embark on the long and difficult journey to recovery.
This May, "Breast foot forward" are walking for science, support and solidarity. And we walk to remember the people we’ve lost to cancer.
I would be grateful if you could support me in my endeavours to complete this walk, however small, so that I can reach my target of £500.
As my godson used to say “every days a gift”
