Race Across Europe for Prevent Breast Cancer · 17 September 2026 to 21 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

In September 2026, our wonderful supporters will be racing from Amsterdam to Prague in our Race Across Europe challenge - inspired by the TV show "Race Across the World".

Story

From Chemo Chairs to Czechia: Two Sisters, One Epic Challenge

What do you get when you combine two sisters, one breast cancer survivor, questionable navigation skills, a race across Europe, and a complete inability to take life too seriously?

Apparently... this fundraising page.

From 17th-20th September, we'll be joining 50 teams of two in a race from Amsterdam to Prague, navigating through mystery checkpoints using nothing but our skill, charm, determination and a very limited budget.

We're expecting wrong turns, questionable decisions and plenty of laughs along the way. But this challenge is about much more than reaching the finish line.

In September 2023, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My diagnosis came after watching another woman's story about breast cancer on television. Her courage in sharing her experience prompted me to get checked, and that decision changed my life. Thankfully, after intensive treatment, I went into remission in April 2024. As a mum of three, cancer didn't just affect me. It affected my whole family.

Thankfully, I had my sister by my side every step of the way.

Before I lost my hair, she cut it short and dyed it bright red so we could take back a little control and find some humour in a difficult situation. Before my first chemotherapy session, she organised a Pink Party with family and friends to send me into treatment feeling loved and supported. On the day chemo started, she turned up with a packed lunch and spent hours waiting for me.

And when treatment ended, of course, there was another party.

Because that's who she is.

My biggest cheerleader, best friend and rock.

She was also one of the amazing runners who joined Rosie's Grit and Glory Runners for the Muddy Race for Life in 2024, and we've even shared our story together on local radio. Through every challenge, every milestone and every difficult day, we've faced it together.

So when I heard about this adventure, there was only one person I wanted standing beside me at the start line.

We're taking on this challenge to raise money, raise awareness, and celebrate the support networks that help people through their darkest days.

If our story resonates with you, please consider making a donation. Every pound helps us get closer to our £2,500 target and helps support people and families facing the challenges of cancer. Whether it's the price of a coffee or something larger, every contribution will make a difference and give us an extra boost as we race our way across Europe.

Thank you for supporting our next adventure, cheering us on, and helping us turn this crazy challenge into something meaningful.

Cancer may have tested us, but it also showed us the strength of family, the power of support, and the unbreakable bond between sisters. ❤️
