Story
Thank you for visiting out Just Giving page. We are excited to share our participation in a personal challenge which is a 37 mile walk on the island of Diego Garcia. This challenge will take place on the 23rd July 2026 in order to support the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines Charity. This charity plays a vital role in providing essential support to serving and former members of the naval community and their families.
The RNRMC has kindly donated British personnel out in Diego Garcia funding this year, to improve the living standards and conditions. The funding has been a huge boost to ranks out in DG, providing personnel with an uplift of tech goods in the accommodation, recreational space for outside and home comforts that have been a huge morale boost.
On the 23rd July this year, British personnel serving out in Diego Garcia will embark on a hot and humid 37 mile walk from one point of the island to the other. They will endure soaring temperatures, dense jungle and even the odd coconut crab! It will be a huge mental and physical challenge for both walkers and runners!
We have set a target of £2,000 to help us make a significant impact. Every contribution counts and brings us closer to our goal. We kindly ask for your support in this endeavor. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country.
