This June, Blakey’s 8 (actually 11 of us this year!) are taking on the epic challenge of Endure24 Reading—a 24-hour relay race around the stunning but punishing 8km trail at the Wasing Estate. Over the course of a full day and night, our team of 8 runners and 3 daft solo runners will be pushing ourselves to the limit, running as far as we possibly can through exhaustion, pain, and unpredictable weather.

This year, the challenge means even more to us. We’re running to support Prostate Cancer UK after one of our own teammates was recently diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer. Thankfully, it was caught early—and he’s now well on the mend. His journey reminded us just how vital early detection is, and why raising awareness and supporting this cause is so important.
