Coast to Coast Walk Across Devon · 19 June 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Support The Devon Clinic’s 24 in 26 Challenge — a 109km (68 miles), 24-hour walk from Westward Ho! to Paignton across Dartmoor, raising funds to help provide affordable counselling and mental health support for people across Devon.

Story

We are walking 109km (68miles) across Devon in 24 hours to raise money for The Devon Clinic.

Mental health support is harder to access than ever, and this charity does amazing work providing affordable therapy for people in our local community who are struggling. Every step I take, and every blister I'll inevitably get, is for a great cause.

If you have the price of a coffee or a pint to spare, it would mean the world to me and the people this clinic supports.

Every mile we walk represents someone struggling with anxiety, trauma, or depression who reaches out for support. The Devon Clinic is there to listen, to care, and to help people rebuild their lives — but we can only keep doing that with your support.

This challenge isn’t just about distance; it’s about determination, teamwork, and compassion. The walk will test us physically and mentally, but knowing that each step helps someone take their first step toward recovery makes it worthwhile.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The three of us prat’s are joining forces and taking on this coast to coast challenge to support not only the Devon Clinic. But all those in our lives who have, currently and may yet face challenges with their mental health. Statistically we all know someone who is struggling right now and perhaps unable to get the crucial help they need and struggle in silence.

So we’re coming together to support this important cause, get fit, raise some needed funds and try to survive this ridiculous challenge.

This will be a huge test of our stamina, fitness and most likely friendships 🤣

Matt Tarney will naturally blame Matty Ford who in turn will blame Sid. Who only has himself to blame.

As this event takes place on the solstice we’re genuinely worried that Matty Ford may get possessed by moorland pagan pixie spirits and use it as an excuse to get naked again.

But we’re keen for you all to know that’s there’s professional support readily available, plus us three who are always available for a chat and seemingly an overly long walk!
