Story
Hey everyone! Meet the blister sisters… well not yet, but we absolutely will be after this little 26 mile adventure!! 🙈
Alzheimer's is a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting memory and cognitive function. It is estimated that over 50 million people have dementia with Alzheimers being the most common cause. Currently, there is no cure, but research is ongoing to better understand and treat the disease.
On the 22nd june 2024 the three of us will be teaming up to trek a marathon (26 miles) across the brecon beacons to raise money for Alzheimers UK. Everyday working for the NHS we see so many patients and families affected by alzheimers disease and the heartbreak and struggles it can cause. Most people, even if not affected directly by the disease will know of a friend, colleague or family member that have struggled with the effects of alzheimers.
Any donation, no matter how big or small will help research and to find further treatment for this awful disease that affects so many.
