Raising money for Henshaws

Many of the people we support already felt isolated and it is so important we connect with them right now. Please help us ensure everyone gets the help they need.

Story

Having been blind since I was born, after being given oxygen at birth which damaged my retinas, I have never known the visual delights the world has to offer.

I was lucky enough to have the love and support of my amazing family, and was welcomed into the blind community and had a full education with lots of fun and adventures.

Henshaw’s have supported me through the years to set up my own business, helped me transition from an old mobile phone to a smart phone and much much more.

It was always important for me to give something back and as well as helping Henshaw’s by teaching braille I wanted to undertake a personal challenge to raise some much needed funds for Henshaw’s to enable them to help others too.

i asked my friend Cheryl if she wouldn’t mind helping me, so we hatched a plan to climb Mount Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales and my first ever mountain.

For those of you who know me, walking boots and kagouls are not my first fashion choice, however I must abandon my heels and skirts in order to raise sponsorship for Henshaw’s.

If you would be kind enough to help me achieve my goal and help Henshaw’s help other people like me any support you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading !

Lots of love …….. Louise xxx
