Story
We are taking part in the October Dog Walking Challenge to support families facing dementia (1st October 2022- 31st October 2022). The challenge is to walk 100km (62.15miles).
Bolton Mental Health Liaison Service (BMHLS) is a service situated in The Royal Bolton Hospital who support people who are facing challenges with their mental health. Dementia care is a main focal point of the team to support health and social care integrated working. As a service we are passionate about good quality, evidence based care that promotes parity of esteem with wider health and social care colleagues.
We all know that working in health and social care we struggle to find time for ourselves and what better way to get some exercise, socialise and raise additional funds for worthwhile charities! We know being active supports our mental health so lets take this challenge as a team and raise some deserved pennies for this charity.
We will all be working full time (and some!) and fitting this challenge in so please dig deep to support both us and this worthwhile charity. We need to work together as a community to sustain the support needed for all to feel part of society.
Thanks in advance :)
