Story

Thank you for your donation for the Hospital for Small Animals, based at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.

We decided we wanted to do something in Brodie’s memory and as we had already entered the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October, we decided this was the right thing to do for us.

We have spoken with the Vets who looked after Brodie and they explained that there are currently research projects ongoing into the genetic condition that Brodie had. The Vet School kindly advised that any money raised by us in his memory will be ringfenced for this research to ensure the condition is better understood.

Further information on the Hospital for Small Animals can be found below and we would just like to thank them for all of their help and support during a really difficult time.

The Dick Vet brings together veterinary education, specialist veterinary care for animals, and world leading research on one campus.

Almost half of UK adults own a pet, so there is a significant need to provide services to care for animals, promote animal welfare and train vets.

Every year, vets throughout the UK refer thousands of complex cases to our specialists. The hospitals are run on a non-profit making basis, making support from friends and donors like you invaluable.

Your support today will help vets and vets in training continue to deliver world class veterinary care, teaching and research at the Hospital for Small Animals.

Thank you for sponsoring me today.
