Story
Hi there!
We're three young Kiwi's preparing to take on the Mongol Rally. one of the world’s most challenging and unconventional charity adventures.
In July 2026, we will fly from New Zealand to London, purchase a car for £850, and drive more than 7,000 kilometres across Europe and Central Asia to the edge of Kazakhstan, near the borders of Mongolia, China, and Russia.
There is no support crew, no fixed route, and no guarantee that our car will make it. The challenge is entirely self-funded and depends on preparation, determination, and the support of generous sponsors.
Why We’re Doing It
The Mongol Rally is about much more than simply driving across the world. Every team raises money for charity, and we have chosen to support Rainforest Trust, which works to protect endangered rainforests and preserve biodiversity across the globe.
Rainforests are essential to the health of our planet. They absorb carbon, regulate climate, and provide habitat for countless species. By supporting our team, you will be directly contributing to the protection of some of Earth’s most valuable ecosystems.
Why This Adventure Matters to Us
Coming from New Zealand, this is a once-in-a-lifetime expedition. We are travelling halfway around the world to buy a budget car in London and attempt an epic journey through some of the most remote and challenging parts of the world.
This adventure will test our resilience, problem-solving, and teamwork, and it represents a chance to do something extraordinary while making a meaningful contribution to an important cause.
Cheers,
The Minions of Mordor
