Raising money for Grand Union Arts CIO

As a group of artists, curators, ecologists and activists we host a gallery and artists’ studios, and regularly work with a range of community groups and partners. We produce artworks, exhibitions, and creative projects that connect our communities equitably with our past, present and future.

Story

On 24th - 25th October 2021, we will set off for an immense 2-day scenic route 40k trek of the Peak District. The group will be led by an expert outdoors team Fresh Walks and will explore the southern edges of Kinder Scout and crossing to the Mam Tor ridgeline.

Through funds raised by individuals and the wider Bruntwood network, the challenge will aim to raise £5000 for The Growing Project in aid of its ‘Growing Inclusive Communities’ pledge.

The Growing Project works alongside organisations that support the vulnerable-housed and people in crisis.

The Growing Project ‘Green-Senses’ the city by growing food and creating green spaces in previously underutilised urban locations; all developed, tended and nurtured by homeless people together with specialist organisations.

This creates invaluable spaces across the city for participants, contributors and collaborators to share stories, food and conversation with local landowners, developers and government policymakers, bringing vulnerable people in crisis into a conversation about our collective future.

Thank you for helping us on our journey to raise £5000 and make a difference!
