WALK FOR MACMILLAN – SUPPORTING OUR OWN
On Saturday, 21 June 2025, officers from British Transport Police in Bristol, alongside railway colleagues, friends and family, will take on a 26-mile fundraising walk from Bristol Temple Meads to Bradford on Avon.
This walk is dedicated to two of our own, PC John Flower and TPS Mark Littledale, who are bravely battling cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support has been there for them throughout their journey, and now, we are coming together to give back.
• John has fought through Stage 4 Lymphatic Cancer and is now in remission, though he still faces months of recovery before returning to work.
• Mark continues his battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and will soon undergo a stem cell transplant. If his own stem cells aren’t suitable, he will need a donor.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
💚 Donate: Every pound raised goes to Macmillan Cancer Support to help patients and families facing cancer.
💚 Join Us: Whether you walk with us or cheer us on, your support means the world.
💚 Become a Stem Cell Donor: Mark and many others rely on donor matches. If you are 17-55 and in good health, consider joining the register at www.dkms.org.uk it starts with a simple cheek swab!
Cancer affects so many lives, but together, we can make a difference. Lets walk, support, and stand by our colleagues, families and everyone touched by cancer every step of the way!
