Story
We are running Liverpool Half Marathon on 15th March to fundraise for The PMDD Project - a UK charity established to advance understanding and treatment of PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).
PMDD is a neurobiological hypersensitivity to normal changes in oestrogen and progesterone. It alters brain chemistry and emotional regulation for a few days every month in a severe and debilitating way. We experience the condition first hand with Lucy, and know that it is widely misunderstood, under-diagnosed and treatments are limited. It is dramatically different from PMS, and many women suffer its relentless impact so we want to help. We urgently need to raise awareness and funds to support research into causes and treatments.
We appreciate any money that you're able to give. Thank you very much.
