Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's been a few years since I've take on just one challenge never mind multiple. I've tried, having signed up for a few but lack of sustained motivation, lack of support and general lack of desire kept knocking me back and I sadly never followed through to the start line never mind the finish.
But as I feel slightly more 'normal' and have the ability to do more than climb out of bed and make a coffee I'm pushing on to take on Madness4Charity Challenge 26/27. Eight huge challenges in between November 2026 and July 2027.
I had to do something as the alternative was not worth thinking about.
2026
November
1st Always Aim High Anglesey Trail Half Marathon
Mum loved coming to watch me run the road event. She loved North Wales and we stayed at Llandudno for the night after for her birthday present. Unfortunately being injured meant I had to pull out the 2026 road half marathon and the 2027 was too close to the Arctic challenge so the trail race will be something new in Anglesey.
8th Malaga Half Marathon
December
6th Santa Dash Liverpool
24th – 31st Rapha 500 Festive Challenge
2027
March
12 – 16th Rat Race Arctic Circle Adventure
3 countries and 3 winter sports. 19 miles on bike, 13 miles on skis and 13 on foot. Whilst this distance may not seem much, it will all be on snow and in temperatures down to -20. Chilly!
April
Pendle Witches Way Hike - 50 miles taking in the route of the Pendle witches on their fateful journey to Lancaster.
June
Always Aim High Llandudno Duathlon
Mum loved Llandudno and Beany wanted me do this event with him, so this has to be included.
July
3 Peaks Way of the Roses Duathlon
The grand finale! Cycle 171 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington stopping off to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks on foot. Oh and did I mention hopefully all in under 24 hours. Easy!
