Dementia directly affects one in three of us, whether that be friends, family or ourselves. The Forget Me Not Club provides invaluable support to those living with dementia.

Providing over 600 of hours per week from its centre in Banchory, the charity truly changes lives. Whilst it costs in excess of £200,000 to run the FMNs, they don't charge a penny for their services. Instead they rely on the generosity of the community - people like you. During the pandemic the charity has adapted its services, providing a vital lifeline to families affected by dementia through remote services and online classes. Conversely, fundraising activities have been severely impacted. Indeed our Coast to Coast run, planned for May 2020 had to be postponed...but... we are delighted to announce the relaunch!

Starting on 29th September, Stuart Olsson, John Pope, Tom Mottershead, Alastair Mather and John Walden will run from Inverness to Skye through some of the most remote parts of the UK. Traversing Glen Affric we will cover 140km (averaging just under a marathon a day) for four days.

The runners each have a personal connection to dementia through those close to us, and a number of our family members enjoy the support of the Forget Me Not Club.

Running across Scotland seemed a suitably epic challenge to thank the charity for the work it does. We hope that this run will help raise money for the charity and awareness of dementia. Thank you for your generous support.

We are also lucky to have the support of lots of folks on the run, including Robbie Simpson (Commonwealth marathon medallist and all-round running champ), his partner (and also running champ Genie Barrand); and our support team (TBC!).
