Carl and Bev's Big Adventure 2026 raises the bar and pushes the envelope further now the British Gravel Trophy series and UCI World Series to attempt to be the first cancer patient to qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships.

Carl has an incurable and rare form of Renal Cancer which is under control but not cured, and requires regular treatment and daily chemotherapy medication.

The Big Adventure aims to demonstrate that having an incurable disease is not a barrier to exercise and sport – you CAN still challenge yourself and set gaols however far away they may appear, or just simply ride, or walk, or run, and find your happy place doing whatever you love or what makes you happy with Cancer.

Personally doing what we love and spending time in our 'happy place' helps us, and Carl manage his side effects and symptoms, and makes us stronger both mentally and physically - "You CAN with Cancer".
