As you may know we tragically lost our daughter, Cassie at the beginning of the year. Cassie had a very tough start in life which led to her and her brother John being adopted by us in 2004. Despite the love and stability of a new family she continued to struggle with issues from her childhood. Devastatingly Cassie took her own life on 6 January 2024 which was her 28th birthday. In her memory, Steve and a group of fellow cycling friends are riding from Frodsham, near Chester, where Cassie was living to our home in York. We are raising funds for the Survivors Trust and Tang Hall Employment charities who do amazing work supporting people facing the issues that impacted both Cassie and John.

Our aim is to fundraise equally for both charities. Donations are made directly to the charity you choose so if you want to give to both charities you will have to make a separate donation to each.

Tang Hall Employment is in the process of obtaining HMRC approval for Gift Aid. This can be claimed by them retrospectively if you send your name, address and Gift Aid consent to stevesecker@hotmail.com

We are extremely grateful for all the amazing donations you have already made. We will add them to the totals.
