Catherine and Ruth have children at Kings Heath Primary School in Birmingham.

Catherine’s daughter and Ruth’s son are in reception (FK class) together and Ruth has an older daughter in year 2 (2H class).

In 6 weeks time on 3rd May they will be running the Birmingham half marathon in order to raise as much money as possible for the school charity - The Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA).

The PTFA are currently fundraising for the ongoing improvements to the school play ground.

Previously improvements to the playground (funded by the PTFA) include an obstacle course, an outdoor classroom, musical instruments in the playground and a multi use games area (MUGA) so PE lessons and sports can be played outside.

Now the focus is raising money to start the next stage which includes construction areas and a huge sandpit - see below!
