Story
On 25 September Duncan Coneybeare and Carys Green are taking on the Five Valleys Walk in aid of Meningitis Now. The walk follows a 21 mile route around the Five Valleys near Stroud and was launched 35 years ago to raise money to help fight meningitis.
We have seen first hand what an impact the disease can have - back in April 2011 Eleanor Coneybeare contracted meningococcal septicaemia. Thankfully Eleanor survived and today is a happy 12-year old but the disease had life-changing consequences for her with which she continues to deal.
Our hope is to avoid other people being impacted in the same way by meningitis. Meningitis Now estimate 22 people contract meningitis in the UK, every day, and that's 22 too many.
Please support us in our goal - any and all contributions will be very much appreciated.
