The Simplicity Group Charity Challenge is an annual summer fundraising initiative where team members choose a challenge to raise money for local non-profit organisations or charities.

This year, we're proud to announce that Young Lives vs Cancer has been chosen as Simplicity Group's Charity of the Year.

Throughout 2026, our team will be taking part in a range of activities. This includes a range challenges and events to support the incredible work this charity does for children and young people facing cancer.

Over the next few months we will be undertaking various activities including: 5 aside tournaments, pub quiz, bakes sale, and our flagship event our team distance target.

In previous years, we have supported charities like Women's Aid, Cash for Kids and NI Air Ambulance. Previous efforts have featured intense 24-hour continuous fitness events; such as rowing, cycling, and running, to benefit vital community causes

Our Flagship Charity Challenge Event

This is the flagship event of our July Charity Challenge.

On Wednesday 29th July, we're aiming to complete a combined 152km in support of Young Lives vs Cancer.

The distance is symbolic, representing the average return journey many families make to access vital cancer treatment. Every kilometre completed helps raise awareness of the challenges these families face, while supporting the incredible work Young Lives vs Cancer does every day.

Together, we'll walk the distance, raise funds, and make every step count.

About Young Lives vs Cancer

Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer, as well as their families. From the moment of diagnosis, they provide practical, emotional, and financial support to help families navigate one of the most difficult experiences imaginable.

The charity helps families with everything. From understanding their diagnosis and accessing financial support, to managing travel costs, accommodation near hospitals, education, employment, and emotional wellbeing.

This cause is particularly close to our hearts. A member of our team is currently navigating the unimaginable challenge of having a child diagnosed with cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer has been there to provide support throughout their journey.

While no family should ever have to face these circumstances, charities like Young Lives vs Cancer make an enormous difference when they do. Seeing first-hand the impact of their work has inspired our team to get behind this cause and raise as much money as possible to help other families receive the same support.
