Story

What am I doing?
This coming summer, August to October, I will be attempting to cycle 4000 kilometres across the USA. I will be wild-camping where possible and/or staying with those who offer accommodation along the way.
Why am I doing this?
I'm a Secondary History teacher at Claires Court School in Maidenhead and therefore focusing the fundraising around the support of young people both locally and in the Ukraine. I will be raising funds and awareness for two incredible charities, all funds raised will be split down the middle.
Number 22:
They provide community counselling services in Maidenhead, offering free and confidential support to young people and adults. They exist solely for the public benefit and their aim is to support both physical and mental health and to relieve the distress of those in need in the community.
Charity Ukraine
We have all been shocked by the events taking place in the Ukraine. Hopefully by the time I undertake this challenge the war in the Ukraine will be over. However, the scars will remain long after. Ukraine Charity’s primary focus has been on helping orphans and underprivileged children and young adults in Ukraine. Providing medical equipment to children's hospitals and funding education and development programmes.
Charlie has set a target for £4000. £1 for every kilometre cycled. You can help Charlie reach this target by donating and also sharing and following his updates on Instagram @charlies_cycling_challenge
Thanks so much for all those who are able to support!!!!
