Ahoy there! I’ll be sailing the world’s largest ocean onboard the 70-foot yacht ‘WTC Logistics’ as part of the Clipper Race. In March 2022 11 boats will race off from Subic Bay in Philippines and we’ll arrive in Seattle, USA, over a month later.

This intense challenge will involve:

• Weathering the wild waters of the North Pacific – waves the size of tower blocks and gale force winds

• Racing 24/7, with only four consecutive hours’ sleep a night

• Over a month at sea with no stop-offs

• Stripped back living conditions

for our crew of 16 people – sharing bunks, no showers, very basic food

• Some of the most remote spots on earth - at times the nearest people outside the race will be those on the International Space Station as it passes overhead!

• Royal National Lifeboat Institution - RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches.
