Raising money for Jacob Abraham Foundation

We aim to help prevent suicide through direct intervention with vulnerable people, raise awareness on mental health/suicide issues, promote positive mental health and support people bereaved through suicide in South Wales. Our foundation seeks to protect vulnerable people and to educate and assist the local communities.

Story

We are fundraising in memory of our friend and colleague Dr Nyle Parker for the Jacob Abraham Foundation.

On Thursday 19th December Nyle’s friends and colleagues from Cardiff University’s Centre for High Frequency Engineering (CHFE) will be walking Pen-Y-Fan in memory of Nyle who, in December 2018, left us far too early. We will always remember Nyle as a fun-loving, dedicated and highly-talented person who was always ready to help others and was the life-and-soul of our research community. In true Nyle spirit, we will end the walk at the pub for a pint (or two) and toast the man himself.

We miss Nyle hugely and hope that, by raising awareness of this worthy cause, others suffering with mental health issues will not suffer in silence and seek help.
