Raising money for The University of Edinburgh
In memory of Arthur Brook

Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing.

Story

Kris Tod, Alex Luetchford, Chris Hanratty and David Brook, with Colin Dow as the injury standby, will be running the Edinburgh Marathon Hairy Haggis Team Relay on May 24th this year. MND is a hideous illness which took the life of David's grandad, Arthur Brook, and has more recently taken the lives of Fernando Ricksen, Rob Burrows and Doddie Weir and thousands of others.

Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research (where we all work) undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing and normally death within 2 years of diagnosis.

Your donation will help us find treatments to slow, stop and reverse the effects of MND.

All donations are processed through the University of Edinburgh Development Trust before going directly to the Euan MacDonald Centre.

We would be very grateful if you could donate to our JustGiving page today.
