Story
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. We’re here to stop them in their tracks.
By all of us walking and fundraising together, we can pick up the pace of progress for everybody affected by a brain tumour. And, ultimately, make sure everybody diagnosed with this awful disease in the future lives a longer, better life.
So take on brain tumours with me by donating and help make The Twilight Walk 2026 our biggest and best yet!
🌟 We’re Walking the Twilight Walk for Sue – Please Support Us!
London • Saturday 21 March 2026 • 5km
This March, my friends Sue, Jacqui, and I will be taking part in The Brain Tumour Charity’s Twilight Walk in London. We’re walking 5km at dusk to raise vital funds for research, support, and hope — all inspired by one remarkable woman.
💛 Why We’re Walking
In August 2025, our wonderful friend Sue was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. It was devastating news — the kind that knocks the breath out of you.
But if you know Sue, you’ll know exactly what happened next.
She stood up, squared her shoulders, and said she was going to kick its arse.
And she meant it.
💪 Sue’s Strength
Since her diagnosis, Sue has been nothing short of extraordinary.
She has faced every appointment, every scan, every challenge with:
Stoicism that inspires everyone around her
Unshakeable positivity even on the hardest days
A wicked sense of humour that reminds us all what resilience really looks like
Upbeat determination that lifts us when we wobble
Walking for her isn’t just symbolic — it’s our way of standing beside her, step by step, as she continues to fight with courage, attitude, and heart.
🧠 What is Glioblastoma?
Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common high‑grade brain tumour in adults.
It grows fast, is difficult to treat, and urgently needs more research. Current treatments can slow its progression, but there is no cure — yet.
That is exactly why The Brain Tumour Charity’s work matters. Their funding powers research into better treatments, earlier diagnosis, and ultimately, the breakthroughs that could change the future for people like Sue.
❤️ How You Can Help
We would be incredibly grateful for any donation — big or small.
Every pound brings us closer to:
Better treatments
More support for families
More time
And one day, a cure
If you’re able, please donate and help us shine a light in the darkness for those affected by brain tumours.
✨ Thank you for supporting us, and for walking alongside Sue in spirit.
Together, we can make a difference.
