In May 2023 Clare underwent surgery to remove two large masses on her ovaries. These turned out to be low grade cancer. As a result of this she had to have a full hysterectomy followed by six rounds of chemotherapy, and is now cancer free.

Now nearly two years since her diagnosis, myself, Clare and our eldest Joshua are undertaking the MacMillan Mighty Hike. A marathon distance walk along the coast of Norfolk.

The MacMillan centre in King's lynn have been outstanding in supporting Clare throughout her journey and beyond. Now it's time to give something back to thank them.
