Story

Join us in supporting the McCarthy Stone Jurassic Walk Challenge 2024! On the 31st July 2024, the McCarthy Stone Foundation will embark on an incredible 48km or 29km walking challenge along the stunning Jurassic Coast.

Every pound donated is matched by McCarthy Stone and used to support older people across the country through our charitable Foundation. The event will start at Weymouth’s beach esplanade, heading past Ringsted Bay and Durdle Door to Lulworth Cove for those taking the full 48km route. Those opting for the 29km route will join the group at Lulworth Cove, continuing past Worbarrow Bay with ups and downs past Kimmeridge and Dancing Ledge before arriving in beautiful Swanage.

This challenging route with big climbs and descents requires rigorous training and practice beforehand to ensure completion. The Foundation provides vital funding and resources to grassroots charities and community groups, making a meaningful impact on the lives of older individuals across the nation.
