Story
As part of our on-going commitment to supporting our surrounding communities, several of the Classic Builders team have joined forces with some truly great industry contacts to form the Classic Daredevils.
Did you know 90% of all deaths in the UK would benefit from palliative care? St. Luke’s Hospice is one of the South West’s leading providers of this form of care. They focus on relieving suffering and improving the quality of life for people living with serious illnesses - including those at the end of their life.
On the 11th May this year the Classic Daredevils will put their fears to one side and take to the skies over the South West. Climbing to the dizzying altitude of 15,000 feet (that’s the equivalent of 15 Shard buildings stacked on top of each other), they’ll brave the unthinkable and jump out of a perfectly good plane. Why? It’s simple, in tough times like these those on the front line providing outstanding care and support need all the help they can get. Whether it be for a terminally ill patient or a grieving family dealing with the passing of a loved one, we believe in doing what we can to help those in their hour of need. By taking part in a charity event like this we’re able to play a key part in raising funds to help maintain the outstanding levels of care St. Luke’s Hospice provide.
Don’t worry, we’re not asking you to jump out of the plane with us – but we would welcome a donation (of any size) to help our efforts and ensure a great care provider in the South West can continue its incredible work. Donating is easy, simply click the ‘Give Now’ button at the top of this page and follow the onscreen instructions. The South West is a small place, we’re keen to support those within our region and make sure they have what they need when they need it most.
