Story
The Casper Mountain Young Marines are proud to support the Jason's Friends Foundation through their Bowling for Jason's Friends event. This is our third year participating and hope to raise even more for Jason's Friends than ever.
The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' Youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts. Casper Mountain Young Marines is currently the only Young Marines program in the state of Wyoming.
Jason's Friends Foundation assists Wyoming families whose children suffer from cancer, brain tumors or spinal cord tumors by providing non-medical financial assistance, advocacy and encouragement. We assist families like Triton's. Triton's mom had to quit her job to take him out of state for his treatments and follow-up appointments. Eventually Triton's medical needs took them to Washington D.C. where Jason's Friends provided lodging, food and transportation reimbursements and took care of their household bills at home leaving them to solely concentrate on Triton. Triton is still fighting his cancer and we continue to financially assist this amazing family as we have since 2017.
