Story
A Tough Challenge to be completed in 10 days raising money for Four great Charities.
The Coast to Coast Walk is a 182-mile (293 km) unofficial and mostly unsignposted long-distance footpath in Northern England. Devised by Alfred Wainwright, it passes through three contrasting national parks: the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the North York Moors National Park.
All three causes reflect my own experiences from my military career and work with Raleigh International and personal life. With special reference to my late Father, Keith Brooks and old friend Ian Pringle along with countless friends, collegues and aquaintances who have been affected by causes that the Charities and Trusts support.
David:
This is the third endurance run or walk (I only intend to walk this one!) I’ve been involved in but the first that has attempted to raise funds for Four separete and very different causes. Previous Charities have been Bolton Hospice and Model for Heroes raising over £6,000
