Hi, we are Rachel and Rob Cochrane, we are siblings and we are running the London Marathon in 2025 to raise funds and awareness for Breakthrough T1D, a charity that is doing incredible work in the fight against Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).

The reason we’re doing it is because Rob’s daughter, Freya, who is just 4 years old, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in October 2024. Every day, Freya shows incredible strength and resilience as she manages her condition, and as a parent, he wants to do everything he can to support her and others facing this challenge.

Breakthrough T1D is working tirelessly to fund research and support those living with T1D, and I want to be a part of that effort. By running this marathon, I hope to raise both funds and awareness for this vital cause, with the goal of making a real difference in the lives of children and families affected by Type 1 Diabetes.
