Story

🐾 Running Wild

One of our fundraising highlights this year will be 'Running Wild!' This is an exciting (and very muddy!) 5km obstacle challenge in support of Essex Wildlife Trust. On Saturday 11th July, Staff from across Colchester Institute will be tackling the challenge to raise funds for our Charity of the Year!

On your marks… get set… MUD!

This year, Colchester Institute has chosen Essex Wildlife Trust as our Charity of the Year! We’ve recently become a Platinum Investor, which means we’re working closely with the Trust to protect local wildlife, restore habitats and get our community involved in making a difference.

🦔 Together with Essex Wildlife Trust, we’ll be:

• Rewilding areas across our campuses

• Creating better habitats for wildlife

• Getting students, staff and local people involved in hands-on projects

• Making sustainability a bigger part of what we teach and do

It’s all about taking small steps that add up to a big impact.

🌱 Fundraising Activities

Our staff and students will be getting stuck into lots of exciting fundraising events throughout the year.

One of the big highlights will be the Running Wild event, where staff members will be taking on a mud-filled, wildlife-themed, trail-running challenge to raise money.

And that’s just the start! We’ll be organising more fun ways for everyone at Colchester Institute to get involved and help raise funds.

💚 How You Can Help
