Story
I’m running the Brighton Marathon 2026 to support prostate cancer research — and this will be my first ever marathon. It’s a huge challenge for me, but one I’m taking on for a cause that means a great deal to me.
When I was at school, a close friend’s dad sadly died from prostate cancer. Seeing the impact that loss had on my friend and their family stayed with me and showed me how devastating this disease can be.
Cancer has also affected my own family many times. My dad has faced cancer on numerous occasions, showing incredible strength each time, and my grandad has also been through cancer. Watching loved ones go through these battles changes you and makes you realise how important research, early diagnosis, and support really are.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men, yet too many families are still affected. By running this marathon, I want to help raise awareness and funds to support those currently fighting and those who will face this in the future.
Every mile I run is for my friend’s dad, my dad, my grandad, and everyone affected by cancer. Any support, whether a donation or sharing my page, truly means the world to me.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
