Please meet our team members - Fernando, Tarun, Anitha, Alicja, Rahila, Simi, Kasturi, Marcia, Henrietta, Eloise, Aye, Teresa, Nicolette with her sister Charlette, Nimali and Eulalia. We, the Croydon Sole Mates who have the passion in walking with its health benefits and in exploring the beauty of the world around us, will go on a 14-mile walk from Moorfields Eye Hospital to the London Eye. We represent most continents of the world and each unit of Moorfields at Croydon: theatre, day care, outpatient clinic and admin.

Our desire to make a difference at people’s lives and to have great fun at the same time brought us together. The money we will raise on this charity walk will be used in general research ‘to make new discoveries and turn new knowledge into treatments to improve eye health and well-being outcomes for patients of Moorfields around the world’. We are dealing with patients with different eye conditions each day of our working lives. It will be rewarding to know that we can contribute to the improvement of their future treatment and hospital experience, apart from the standard care we provide.
