Fighting Cancer One Rep at a Time: Join Amy and Liane in Supporting Cancer Charities

Cancer touches all of us; whether it's a friend, a family member, a colleague (or even ourselves!). Me and my sister are taking part in Battle Cancer this year, and are raising funds for various cancer charities.

Why Battle Cancer?

Battle Cancer brings together people from all walks of life to sweat, lift, and push themselves, all in the name of fighting cancer. Funds raised will go directly to our chosen cancer charities that provide support, treatment, and hope to those affected. Whether it’s helping families navigate a diagnosis, funding life-saving research, or offering emotional support, your donation makes a tangible impact!

Personal Motivation

In 2019, I got the devastating news that I had cancer. Getting cancer at any time is life changing, but when you’re 29, with two young children, it’s the last thing you expect to happen to you…..it’s always something that happens to other people, right?!

It was quite possibly the worst 6 months of my life, and I still find it difficult to talk about at times. I was trapped in a hospital bed for 4-5 days at a time (not counting all the re-admission visits!), but I was lucky though; I had a huge amount of support from my family, friends, work colleagues, the amazing Nurses at Leicester Royal Infirmary and various cancer charities……and I’m still, here, able to ask all you lovely lot for help in raising money for Battle Cancer!!

For me and my sister, this isn’t just a fundraiser, it’s very personal.
