Story
So..... We did it, all 8.5 miles, with an official time of 2.52, which included a 20 minute much needed coffee and sweetie break. Even we were impressed with this time, with all credit going to Tina who as our pacemaker, kept us going at a steady pace. The weather was kind to us and the camaraderie with fellow walkers and support from the hospice staff all made for a much more pleasant walk than we expected.
Attached is our finish photo with highly prized medals - who needs an Olympic gold when you get a Superhero Steel Medal!!
Finally, thank you to all those who sponsored us, you were very generous, with the final sum of £550 plus gift aid far exceeding our expectation for a very worthy cause.
Thank you on behalf of the Hospice and us

OH dear, in a moment of madness we decided to do the moonlight superhero walk. Had a little practice yesterday and made it albeit we had to comfort ourselves at the end with a couple of glasses of wine and two teas for Tina! So one more practice run scheduled and superhero outfits at the ready and we are off...............So if you can support us with a small donation, that would be much appreciated. Thank you on behalf of three silly ladies who should know better than to commit to physical activities!
This year it will cost over £5.3million to operate the Hospice and provide our services to our local community, with around 16.5% funding from the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group. The remaining funds comes from the kind donations made by people like you.
