Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 30 May (this Saturday, and not 2-4 July as it inexplicably says above!), I'm doing the Three Peaks Challenge, scaling the three tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours. I have genuinely no idea if I can do it but it will be fun to find out. And I'll be accompanied by my two fabulous daughters. Just two short years ago, Amandine had an operation on her back to correct a 63-degree curve and her spine is now as much titanium as bone. She had to relearn to walk and for her to even attempt this is something of a miracle. Her biggest supporter and her best friend, big sister Smilla, will be there with her every step of the way. The two of them make me tearily proud in everything that they do but if we all manage this, I'll go on about it forever.
And we're attempting it with a motley crew of friends, led by long-term pal Mark, whose dad died last year and in whose memory he is taking on this challenge. Mark's dad loved cricket and he loved the charity Chance to Shine - which helps inspire young people through cricket - and I've worked with them for over 20 years and seen first hand the good they have done and continue to do. It's also Champions League final night and, as a massive Gooner, Mark is making some sacrifice.
We'd all be very grateful if you could support us, and thus support Chance to Shine.
