Story
At Rotary South Cut Out Cancer, we are dedicated to making an impact on the lives of cancer patients. Our mission is to raise funds for high-tech surgical equipment for Royal Surrey County Hospital, enabling advanced treatment options for those in need.
Royal Surrey is the 4th largest regional cancer centre in the UK and supports 3 million people in Surrey, Sussex and beyond.
To date, and with the help of Rotary International, Rotary clubs from the UK, India, Nigeria and the support of other organisations and the general public we have donated over £107,000 to fund the purchase of 4 pieces of equipment
a Piezo surgical system, which helps surgeons carry out precise procedures while protecting healthy tissue;
an Emprint microwave ablation system, which supports minimally invasive treatment for some tumours; and
two Inomed nerve stimulators, which help surgeons protect important nerves during complex operations.
Our team is driven by the passion to make a real difference in the fight against cancer, and seeing the equipment being used by the surgical team and hearing about the difference it will make for patients has been incredibly rewarding.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign so far, and we look forward to continuing to help fund further equipment that will improve the treatment and care for cancer patients at Royal Surrey.
We invite you to join us in this meaningful cause by joining or supporting me in my 10K walk on 4th October 2026.
