Story

It is with a heavy heart that again due to severe weather conditions forecasted on the weekend of the 7/8th October, we find ourselves in the position of again having to postpone our challenge.

We are all extremely disappointed, but the safety of the whole team is of paramount importance. We very much hope to re-organise this event for spring/early summer next year - third time lucky!

We are extremely indebted of your tremendous support and thank you whole heartedly for your donations.

Following the challenge being postponed due to severe weather conditions, a new date has now been set for the weekend of 7th October 2023.

To make the most of the available daylight we have reversed the order of the challenge and will be starting at Ben Nevis.

We very much appreciate your donations to these very worthy causes

On the weekend of 14th July, 25 veterinary colleagues from across CVS Referrals specialist led referral division are joining together to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge. We will be tackling this physical challenge in aid of 2 charities; CVS Charity of the Year - Pet Blood Bank, who help vets save lives by providing a blood service for pets, and to Vetlife. Sadly, colleagues within the veterinary industry experience significantly higher levels of depression and suicide than in most professions and Vetlife provides essential support to the veterinary community and their families.

Our challenge starts in Wales at the base of Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, standing at 1085m we will ascend the mountain following the Pyg track and descend via the Miners Track. With our support team and drivers at the ready, using 2 minibuses kindly donated by Interactive Fleet Management, our expedition will then drive north to the Lake District for our next climb - Scafell Pike. Starting the route in the dark, we will climb to 977m in time for the morning sunrise. Following a long drive, our final mountain Ben Nevis in Scotland, is the tallest of the three at 1344m and the longest walk. We aim to complete all of this in just 24 hours!

The team are training hard for the challenge that lies ahead and for these truly deserving causes we aim to raise equal funds in excess of £10k
