Update!
2 months out: I will be hosting an end of summer fete on the 5th of September at the Windlesham Club and Theatre.
Tickets are £3 per person with under 3’s going free! If you would like to donate this directly with a comment saying the donations is for tickets and how many tickets, send us a screenshot of that through Facebook or through my cycling instagram (cycle_for_donna) and we will confirm receipt and mark your tickets as sold!
With this, we're also looking for a local band, bbq and bouncy castle - and also invite local businesses, crafters, makers and community groups who would like to have a stall. Stall pitches are £20, and we ask that each stall kindly donates a prize for the raffle.
To book a stall, simply donate £20 with the name of your stall, and send us the receipt!
In September 2026 I will be cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats in memory of my mum, Donna Bowers.
My mum was the most inspirational person, and more motivating than anyone I’ve ever met. She would always be front and centre motivating anything I did, which is something I will carry with me through this journey.
Mum passed away just before Christmas 2024, and ever since I’ve really needed a challenge not to just focus on, but one big enough to start expressing the monumental impact she had on everyone’s lives, landing me in this 1000+ mile cycle.
Along this journey I’ll be fundraising for two charities!
Our first charity is Frimley Health Charity, it was Frimley Park Hospital who did such an amazing job looking after my mum when she was unwell. With this fundraiser they can improve their facilities and help more people!
Our second charity is the British Liver trust, who complete vital work in diagnosing, treating and care for all liver diseases form children to adults. They also support research into the liver, with our fundraising this can help understand more about such a complex organ.
Wether you choose to donate to one charity, or both. ANY contribution will be so helpful!
Any QVC friends please remember that you can donate through together for good for a 2:1 match!
Thank you for joining me on my journey, now for the training!
Need another way to help that’s not donating?
There’s lots of other ways to help me in this journey. There’ll be some equipment I need for this journey so if you (or you know someone) that could help with this, it would be just as appreciated as a donation!
- Rent: Camper Van/Motorhome for accommodation across the cycle route.
- Buy: A road bike!
