We have all shared a sense of uncertainty over the past few weeks. However, for hundreds of seriously ill children in Ireland, they face uncertainty every day of their lives. While the world around them has come to a halt, they still wish for their dreams to come true - to just be a child for a day.
Make-A-Wish Ireland grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions such as cancer, cystic fibrosis and heart conditions. No two wishes are alike, because no two sick children are alike. From the humble, to the seemingly impossible, a wish could be meeting a famous singer, to have a space-themed bedroom or to be a princess for a day. Since 1992, Make-A-Wish has brought hope strength and joy to more than 2,600 sick children across Ireland. A wish granted is true magic for the child, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment.
Make-A-Wish does not receive any government funding and relies generosity of the Irish public to continue
