The Astriid Challenge
Campaign by Astriid (RCN 1176645)
Between 06-18 July, we want to get active and raise money for Astriid. You decide how far you want to walk, run, swim, cycle, rollerblade, or even dance!

Story

We are taking part in the Astriid Challenge and I hope you can support us!

Between 1-31 July 2021, The Cycling Shorts (myself, Ruth, Hannah, Hayley, James) are supporting the charity Astriid as they aim to virtually travel round-the-world, covering a distance of 40,075kms. For our challenge, we will be aiming to cover the distance (1,407Km) from Lands End to John O'Groats virtually.

Astriid is looking for volunteers to take on a physical challenge, choosing how far you want to walk, run, swim, cycle, rollerblade (or even dance!), and contributing to our total distance covered. The charity is also welcoming less physical and more inclusive challenges to raise funds and help spread the word – there are plenty of challenge ideas for both categories listed on the Astriid Challenge website.

It’s not about the distance. It’s not about the time. It’s about our collective impact.

Through the challenge, we’ll be raising money for the charity Astriid, which enables talented people living with long-term health conditions to find meaningful work with great employers. Considering the challenges of the past year, this mission has never been more important.

There are a number of different ways you can get involved:
