Daisy 200 in support of Cancer Fund for Children

Raising money for Cancer Fund for Children

Cancer Fund for Children provides practical and emotional support to local children and their families impacted by cancer. Our Specialist Team provides support at home, in the community and on the hospital ward. We also offer free therapeutic short breaks at Daisy Lodge in Newcastle.

Story

On Saturday 24th August, we will be taking off on the “Daisy 200” challenge in aid of Cancer Fund for Children, a 200 mile cycle aiming to raise vital funds for children and young people impacted by cancer.

Cancer Fund for Children provide emotional, social and therapeutic support to children and young people impacted by cancer, in hospital, at home and at their therapeutic short break centre in Newcastle Co. Down, Daisy Lodge. We will be cycling from this purpose-built facility to the site of their second Daisy Lodge, to be built on the shores of Lough Corrib in Co. Mayo, covering 200 miles over 2 days.

This is sure to be a difficult challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what children and young people diagnosed with cancer face every day. By taking on this task, we are hoping to raise vital funds and awareness so Cancer Fund for Children can be there for even more families when they need them most.

We will be running a range of fundraising events in the run up to the cycle and we would really value your support. Every donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and help make a difference in the lives of children and young people.

Thank you,

Eddie Marcus, Toby Watson, Murray Young & Andrew McIlwaine assisted by Jim Adams
