Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Every penny helps !
I am flabbergasted at the amount you have donated, that is boosting my run so much !
A few years back I planted the idea of running a half- marathon before my half-century- birthday. The clock is ticking and I will be running 13.1 miles in Cambridge on March 3, 2024. Can't wait ! (Really ?!?)
The work of the following five organisations is close to my heart and I believe that every little bit counts towards making our world a better place.
* Jimmy's Night Shelter in Cambridge
* Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
* Working Dogs For Conservation Foundation
* Railway Children
* RSPCA Cambridge and District Branch
To make a donation please see the fundraising page of each charity (= Team Member) below. Your help to one or more of these charities will make all my hours of training up and down the hills very worthwhile for me.
Without my four-legged running buddy Rion this would never happen. He is a tireless companion and while our loops increase in distance his never- ending endurance inspires me to keep going. Some days running just flows, at other times my whole body aches; still I know I will be just fine !
At the moment I have had enough of training on snow and ice (yes, I did smash my knee !). To enjoy some jogging during the warmer sunny days I will continue to run and prepare for the Winterthurer Halb-Marathon on May 26, 2024.
Run for Rubish ! Incredible how many lost and unused poop-bags, aluminium cans and tissues in various stages of composting I collect along my way. I do this in memory of my dear Mum Christine, whom I dearly miss.
Thanks a million for supporting my run and encouraging me, as I take on this challenge!
