As like many people 2024 was not a good year for my family, I lost my grandad to Alzheimer's, he was only diagnosed in 2023. My partner Ellie lost her Gran to Alzheimer's after a very long painfull battle for everyone involved. This personal event opened my eyes to how often this is happening. We decided to take part in this trek to do what ever we can to raise money and awareness for this terrifying disease. Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
