This is for you, Grandad ❤️

David passed away in September 2025 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, he received amazing care at Sue Ryder in Leeds. We want to give back and support this brilliant hospice who helped David’s end of life be as comfortable, caring & loving as possible. They also supported us as his family with compassion and clear guidance along the way to help David as much as possible.

We’re raising money to help more people like Grandad to get the care they deserve when they most need it. As a family, we are walking together to remember David and to show support for those who cared for him at Sue Ryder.

We’re taking part in Starlight Hike this year - walking under the stars to help make sure more people get the expert care and support they deserve at the end of their life.

Sue Ryder believes how we die matters. Their nurses, doctors and bereavement specialists support people through terminal illness, death and grief - but too many still aren’t getting the care they need. That isn’t right, and I want to help change it.

Last year, Sue Ryder delivered more than 655,000 hours of expert care. Every second was made possible by people who chose to get involved.
