Story
Imagine being 15 or 16 years old again and discovering you are going to be a parent. Think of what high school would have been like if you had care for a child while balancing academics, work, and family with limited resources. This is the reality for each of the 220 young moms that Florence Crittenton Services serves throughout the year.
The Mothers of Preschoolers group at Denver Community Church (DCC MOPS) is participating in the 16th Annual Miles for Moms Run/Walk and have committed to fundraising $50 for Florence Crittenton Services, a Denver-based nonprofit that educates, prepares, and empowers teen
mothers and their children through education, health and wellness, and economic and social asset building. Their two-generation approach doubles the national high school completion rate for teen moms from 38% to 81% and 76% of children who participated in GOLD assessments showed growth in all development dimensions.
Please join us in supporting the unlimited potential of these teen families by making a donation to our page. Thank you.
