Story
Our sister Diane had been battling a form of Sarcoma called a leiomyosarcoma a very rare form of cancer but one there is so little known about, her battle ended on the 6th June 2025. At just 56 years young.
Diane has raised thousands for charity in her work as Deputy Matron at Westhaven Care Home. Now it’s our turn.
We will continue to fundraise in her name to raise vital funds and awareness for earlier diagnosis 💙
Thank you for visiting my page. I've chosen to support Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this.
Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
£8.80 Could cover the cost of 10, 21 minute calls to Sarcoma UK's Support Line.
£25 Could fund a Research Associate to work on a Sarcoma UK research project for one hour.
£334 Could fund Sarcoma UK's Support Line for a day.
£9,000 Could purchase a fume cupboard for a laboratory to allow researchers to safely use chemicals.
Thank you.
